Birthday card presented to Rick Kowalker at the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in Berlin, CT

Vietnam Veteran Rick Kowalker turned 74.  Family and friends gathered to celebrate with him on his special day.  Today was Gold Star Mothers Day and this memorial has a special meaning to Rick because he and Melody provided Riderless Horse Honors for so many Gold Star Families in memory of their loved ones. Rick was presented with a Pearl Harbor Anniversary coin given to him from James Belcher Jr.
